More About Us

I have been around firearms since I was a kid.  I learned to shoot in a gravel pit in Vermont in the 70's with a Marlin single shot .22 and then a Remington Model 14 1/2 38-40.

The latter has been relegated to hanging on the wall until I can get time to fix it.

I spent my youth hunting in Northern Vermont.  As I got older I started working on firearms mostly to make mine more accurate than my best friends.  We use to shoot in his backyard and mine. 

I opened Lonewolf Guns and Ammo in 1991

 I had built my own house and had several ranges for handgun, rifle and archery.  These were built to allow customers to try out their firearm after I got done with them, and for instruction to new shooters. I wish that I had the land in NM to do the same, but I had the Sportsman's Club where I did instruction in basic handgun and personal protection.

In early 2007 I was certified as a New Mexico Concealed Carry / Concealed Handgun Instructor.

We moved to Oak Ridge TN in mid 2007 and I have gotten my business set up here. We have a fantastic range just minutes away from the house, and I am back shooting IDPA, IPSC on a regular basis. I have taken over the 3 Gun Program here and we run matches every month (www.orsa3gun.com). I am an NRA Certified Pistol and  Personal Protection in the Home instructor, TN Certified Handgun Instructor along with being a certified Range Safety Officer.

We have two Brittany Spaniel's that need some more training before they can go in the field one has had basic training and the other had some advanced training but we didn't have the opportunity to further her training in New Mexico so she lost a lot of what she knew.

I am in the process of getting classes set up in Oak Ridge.  Keep an eye on this site for future classes.
